About Jonathan

I was born on March 20, 1987 in Hattiesburg, MS.  My parents, Mike and Sylvia, were over the Youth Department at Central Baptist Church where the late Dr. C.R. Williams was pastoring.  In 1994, we moved to Union City, TN where my dad became the pastor of the Union City Baptist Temple.  In 1998 our family started in full-time evangelism.  On February 7, 2010, my dad became the pastor of the world’s greatest church, Parkside Baptist Church.  We are currently located in Mesquite, TX.

As a younger child I made a profession of faith in Christ.  However, it was never settled in my heart.  It’s one thing to KNOW the way to Heaven and another to ACCEPT the way to Heaven.  When I was 12, the Lord started convicting me of my lost condition and I received the Lord as my personal Saviour.

When I was 13, the Lord placed a burden of reaching children on my heart.  I started working with children when I was 14 years old.  From preaching on the church bus, teaching Sunday school classes, to preaching in children’s church, I have been working with kids wherever I can.

I am still reaching children as I work in the ministries of Parkside Baptist Church.  I love the ministry!

About Heather

I have been greatly privileged to grow up in a loving, Christian home.  I was born to Scott and Lisa Carroll on November 8, 1988, in Bluffton, Indiana.  When I was one, God led my family to Berne, Indiana, where they presently attend the Faith Baptist Church, pastored by Travis Combest.

As a young child, I had heard the Gospel several times, and I claimed to be saved.  However, as I grew older, the Lord began to work in my heart.  I realized that I had a head knowledge of salvation, yet had never trusted Christ with my heart.  On September 21, 2006, my mom showed me from God’s Word how to be saved.  That night, I trusted Jesus Christ as my Saviour.

My work with children began while a senior in high school.  My pastor asked my friend and I to teach the four and five year old Junior church.  My friend and I taught for about three years and I loved being a part of their lives.

The year following my graduation, my pastor asked me to teach kindergarten in our school.  For two years, I taught a little down-syndrome girl from my church.  I just love her.  She is so sweet and loving.

It has been so neat to look back over the past few years and see God’s reasoning in what He has brought into my life.  I love seeing all the puzzle pieces coming together and making the beautiful picture God has for me.  His way is perfect!
